The Conference of Physics and Astronomy Students (CAPS) '19, this year hosted by Swansea University, is a fantastic opportunity to expand upon your current knowledge of physics, find out where your degree can take you, have a chance to present your hard work and most importantly have fun and meet your peers from all over the country. This year there will be lectures from Welsh research and industr

y, an employability focused day of lectures and workshops with careers fair, competitions, social events, tours and formal. Registration for the conference is open and will close at the end of June, so keep an eye on our page and most importantly, spread the word! I'm sure you're all sick of thank yous but we just wanted to say one last big thank you to our CAPS committee for putting everything together over the last few months: Beth Hickman, Holly Barter, Meagan Hough, Adam Powell, Anna-Maria Cutolo, Cameron Hales, and Julian Guassardo

Thank you also to our hardworking volunteers, keeping everything running smoothly: Shimra Ahmed, Morgan Bridge, Valentina Sanchez, Maria Beatriz and Ozioma Kamalu.

A massive THANK YOU to all who came to CAPS '19!! We hope you had fun, made some friends, learned some physics, met some employers and made a few memories!!! 😆😁😄

Thanks especially to all those who contributed to the program: Prof Prem Kumar, Prof Ifan Hughes, Dr Mariusz Pietrzyk, Dr Mattia Negrello, Huma Ashraf, Meirin Evans, Dr Richard Lewis, Adam Powell, Natasha Fox and Josh Lucas, Dr Angharad Thomas, Dr Adriano Lo Presti, Dr April Cridland, Prof Matt Griffin, Dr Will Bryan and Prof Ken Meissner. Hi all, please be seated at your tables in Fulton Refectory on 1st floor (next to where we held the careers fair) for 6.30 LATEST. So aim to be at the building for 6.20. This is because we will be hearing a short science communication talk by Dr Will Bryan!
