Christmas Is Coming

The City is the place to be to feel in the Christmas Spirit. For a special treat you must pop into the Ned Hotel for a glass of champagne and the best manicure and hammam in town. We would recommend you take a short walk across the Thames by way of the Millennium Bridge to the Winter Market – a traditional Nordic inspired South Bank at the Royal Festival Hall Riverside which runs till December 27th. There are fabulous pop ups with cocktails and delicious charcuterie and cheeseboards, handmade gifts under a twinkling canopy of fairy lights you can’t help but feel the magic. Of course it’s time to brush down your skates and head to the Tower of London, where the icy air will leave you craving a hot chocolate or some mulled wine.

Reggie Nelson a determined, 22 year old eager, to pursue a career in the City went to great lengths to ensure that his dream would become a reality. Equipped with only his excellent interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, a winning smile and passion for finance, he simply knocked on the doors of a residential and highly desirable area in London and asked for advice on how to get ahead. So impressed by his attitude, one of the householders was won over and found it impossible to not hear Reggie’s story through. Reggie managed to secure work experience shadowing this gentlemen and so brilliantly the plan worked. This led to him securing his present job as an Analyst with an Investment Management firm in the City.

It just shows, confidence and thinking outside the box definitely pays off!

Danish-born restaurateur Soren Jessen, has officially launched Ekte Nordic Kitchen in the Bloomberg Arcade in the City of London.

Ekte, meaning genuine or real in Norwegian, offers a varied Nordic menu. The Scandinavian-influenced Restaurant and Café/Deli is open daily throughout the day for both eat-in or to go, with changing menus from breakfast through lunch and dinner. Dining here will truly tickle your taste buds with fantastic flavours that will leave you wanting more.

We would highly recommend popping down to this treasure to experience a true taste of the North.
