About the role: -
• Analysis, troubleshooting and repairs of hydraulic & mechanical components
• Manufacturing parts, repairing, assembling and testing hydraulic & mechanical equipment
• Inspecting & diagnosing faults within hydraulic products, both with and without the use of schematics
• Understanding &carrying out all test procedures for valves, cylinders, pumps, and motors
• Understanding safety required for handling & servicing stored energy devices
• Carrying out field service work when & where required
• Providing support for field installation
• Providing support with hydraulic tube bending and forming
• Providing support with general manufacturing of mechanical equipment in support of the hydraulic business
• Producing components using lathes, milling machines, grinding & honing machines
• Understanding limits & fits regarding the measurements and tolerances of mating machine parts to achieve the best working conditions
• Forming, shaping cutting and assembly of metal parts
• Welding & fabrication of metal parts

About you: -
• Previous experience in Hydraulics and/or Mechanical equipment
• Certification/qualification in Mechanical Engineering
• Skilled in using lathes, milling machines, grinding, and honing machines
• Possesses a sound knowledge of Hydraulic Components with well-developed skills relating to analysing, troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic & mechanical components within hydraulic systems
• Proven safety record in the workplace
• Competency to read & interpret engineering drawings
• Full drivers’ license

We are recruiting skilled talent from the UK for a variety of roles, in particular Electricians for an exciting project in central Auckland, New Zealand. The City Rail Link (CRL) is a $4.4 billion ambitious project and it’s the largest transport infrastructure project New Zealand has ever built. It consists of a 3.45km twin-tunnel underground rail link up to 42 metres below the Auckland city centre. When fully operational, 54,000 passengers an hour will use CRL stations at peak times, which is the rail equivalent of an additional 16 lanes of roading !

Not only can you play a part in one of New Zealand’s flagship projects that will be remembered for generations, this role also offers a much sought-after pathway to residency should you wish to remain in New Zealand.

About you:-

- Trade qualification as an Electrician with EWRB registration*
- 2 - 4 years' experience in high voltage electrical works background

- Demonstrate a proven work history with the ability to work extended and flexible hours

Priority will be given to candidates who have the following: -

- Previous rail systems and tunnel experience
- Medium voltage power systems experience (22kV)

*EWRB registration will be discussed during the screening stages. To be eligible for registration, you will need a minimum of 8000 work hours experience as a qualified Electrician.
