Urgently hiring - Commis Chef
Pay: £13.50-£14.00 per hour

Job Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will support senior chefs in preparing and cooking high-quality dishes while maintaining excellent hygiene and food safety standards. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their culinary skills and build a long-term career in hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with food preparation and basic cooking duties under the guidance of senior chefs.
Prepare ingredients including washing, peeling, chopping, portioning, and measuring.
Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to company standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations and kitchen equipment.
Follow all food hygiene, health and safety regulations, including HACCP procedures.
Support stock rotation and monitor inventory to minimise waste.
Assist with receiving and storing deliveries appropriately.
Ensure kitchen areas are kept clean and sanitised at all times.
Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure efficient service.
Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
Carry out any additional duties assigned by senior kitchen staff.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is essential.
Basic understanding of food hygiene and kitchen operations.
Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 preferred).
Passion for food and willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Flexible approach to shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays where required.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
