CHANGES TO BANK ANNUAL LEAVE REQUEST DEADLINE

Please note due to changes in the Temporary Staffing opening hours, the new deadline for submitting bank annual leave requests each week will be 5pm on a Friday, in order for payment to be made the following Friday. Please note this applies to weekly paid staff only, monthly paid staff submissions remain unchanged.

Temporary Staffing Opening Times Update

Please note from 1st August 2026 until further notice the Temporary Staffing office will be closed on Saturday and Sunday and will operate between the hours of 08:00-17:00 Monday to Friday.

Bank Staff will be able to self-cancel bank shifts more than 3 days in advance via their LOOP accounts. For urgent cancellations within this timeframe please report to the relevant Site/Duty Manager for the site the shift is booked.

Surgical forward Wait C - AUH Site
Band 3 or Band 2

• Block booking 2 - 3 months
• Hours 7:00-14:30 Monday to Friday (full week)

Role Overview:
The staff member will be expected to support patient care and assist nursing staff with the following duties:
• Greet patients upon admission to theatre department.
• Ensure completion of relevant paperwork for clerical staff.
• Assist RGN as required.
• Provide toileting assistance to patients when needed.
• Help prepare patients for theatre (e.g., gowning, surgical socks, hat).
• Safely store patient belongings during theatre time.
• Perform stock checks (e.g., gowns, TED stockings).
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the day and complete end-of-day cleaning.
