New year, new us… right?
Well, as teachers, that isn’t always the best outlook. When working with students, the start of a new year can actually be the perfect time to bring back old habits, re-establish routines, and re-implement the structure that worked so well before Christmas.
2025 is a chance to reflect! What did work, what supported your students best and what helped classrooms feel calm, focused and safe. Consistency can be just as powerful as change and sometimes familiarity is exactly what young people need to settle, reset and thrive.
As we step into this year, let’s remember that progress doesn’t always mean starting from scratch, sometimes it means building confidently on what we already know works.
