Same licence, very different life. Days or nights? Worth knowing which suits you before you take a run.

Days mean daylight, busier roads and more people about, but you're home for the evening and in step with everyone else. Nights mean quieter roads, an easier run and often a better rate, but you're sleeping while the world's awake, and that takes discipline to do well.

Neither is better. Some drivers love the calm of a night trunk. Others can't stand being out of sync and much prefer a day shift.

Days, Nights & Tramping work with various start times available.

Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 HGV C+E license
- Driver CPC and Tachograph Card
- No more than 6 penalty points
- Minimum 1 year of recent HGV driving experience required
- Ensure timely, safe, and accurate deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and client guidelines.

The clocks haven't gone back yet, but the mornings are already darker. Now's the time to get your cab ready for winter, not the first frosty morning you're scraping the screen with a bank card.

A few worth sorting early. Check your lights and swap any that are dim before the dark runs start. Keep a scraper, de-icer and decent gloves in the cab. Top up your screenwash with proper winter stuff so it doesn't freeze. Pack a warm layer and a hi-vis for when you're stood outside a trailer at 3am. And keep your tyres and tread in check, winter roads punish anything borderline.

None of it takes long. It just saves you a miserable start when the weather turns.

Sort it now while it's still mild.
