The weather has certainly been ‘up and down’ in June.
We've had rain, wind, and a fair number of sunny days.
Forecasters are predicting hotter conditions again in July.
Make sure you’re ready for it because driving in warmer weather brings its own risks, like dehydration, increased roadworks, vehicle malfunctions, and more vehicles on the road as people head off on holiday.
Before setting off, whether car, van or HGV, don’t forget to:
Check your vehicle (tyres, brake pads & fluid)
Stay hydrated (make sure you have plenty of water in your vehicle in case of extended delays)
Keep vehicle well ventilated to avoid drowsiness
Prepare for glare
Take extra care around roadworks
Make the most of your breaks
