This includes caring for the elderly, dementia care, mental health support and support for physical disabilities.

Full driving licence and access to your own car is required for this position unless you live within the area:

Moving and handling
Medication support
Meal preparation including assistance at mealtimes
Light household tasks
Shopping collection
Companionship and social care support to support emotional and health wellbeing.

We know its early! but we would just like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas from all of us at Shield Health & Social Care .

Also a huge thank you for all your continued support throughout 2025!we could not do it without you all!

Over the Christmas period the office will be closing Wednesday 24th at 12pm until we return on Monday 29th Shelley will be on call from the afternoon of the 24th through to the 26th when Zoe will take over the on call reigns !
Please only use the on call service over Christmas if you absolutely need to, or for emergencies. As staff deserves to celebrate with their loved ones also ,If it can wait then contact us on the 29th when the office reopens.
To those of you working over Christmas thank you again for giving up your time. Stay safe and we hope you enjoy your day. For those of you lucky enough to not be working have a lovely day celebrating!

Do you manage a care service for vulnerable adults ?
Supported living, live in care service, residential care?

Do you ever find yourself looking for shift cover at short notice due to staff sickness or extra support required for your service users.

Telephone our office staff at
Shield Health and Social Care we are CQC registered. We have a large care team of experienced and trained care staff to cover casual hours, or full time hours to meet all service users needs in the community.

All our care staff have a full enhanced DBS check. Our training covers the Care Certificate, PBS : positive behaviour support, Oliver McGowan and all the mandatory training in line with CQC requirements.
