The totals are in from the 2nd annual Pink it Up weekender, all in aid of 💕

Across Leeds and York, as a collective we raised an incredible £11,516.22 for what an incredible achievement, bringing on our fundraising efforts for Candlelighters to in excess of £24,000 in 15 months. 💕

This truly reflects what can be achieved when communities, businesses and venues come together to support such a wonderful cause. 🙂🙌🏽

Thank you to everyone who contributed, donated, supported and volunteered over the PIU2026 charity weekend, it will make a huge difference to families across Yorkshire.

It’s humbling to have businesses & venues already pledge their support next year, when PIU2027 will be returning between Thursday 3rd June to Sunday 6th June 2027. 💕

It’s June 15th, where has the last 5 weeks gone!! ⏰

After 5 weeks of non stop, logistics, recruitment, staffing charity fundraising, and award wins, what a way start the 2026 season, It’s time to take a breather, rest, reset and reconfigure before staffing ramps up an other level. ⬆️🙌🏽

Today, I want to take a Moment to thank our overnight and post clean team at 🐎🧼🧹

The team behind the scenes are unseen after race meetings, turning the venue around ensuring it is spotless and sparkling as if racing never happened, their hard work and can do attitude to ensuring cleaning standards are met each time, it is always a pleasure to work each and every one of this fantastic team!

A huge thank you for everyone who has supported, been part and getting involved over this weekend raising awareness and vital funds across Leeds and York for young children with cancer and their families. 💕

What a packed week we have had at P.J Staffing Ltd , it’s Friday and we still have the weekend to go! 🙌🏽

Our Pink it Up 2026 campaign in support of Candlelighters Trust kicked off yesterday, across York and Leeds, Its so humbling to see all the venues come to life in Pink. 💕 thank you so much!

Tonight we are at the Yorkshire Choice Awards , where P.J Staffing Ltd is nominated for the Charitable Business Award and I for the Yorkshire entrepreneur Award 2026 🙂, be it nominee, finalist or winner, it will be a privilege be to upon a room full of Yorkshire Hero’s! 🥳🏆

In addition P.J Staffing Ltd is extremely proud to sponsor the Charitable Excellence Award 2026 with Candlelighters Trust the current title holders, it will be a honour to announce and present to the winners this evening! 💫🏆

With the LGBTQ+ Pride month coming up in June, what a way to start it with supporting YorkMix Radio family area at York Pride today.

As May comes to a close this weekend, here at P.J Staffing Ltd we take a moment to catch our breathe after what has been a successful and busy month, with racing season in full swing 🏇⛅, plus many other event staffing being planned around the busy summer months, to around the corner in early June, we have our charity fundraising weekend across Yorkshire cities including Leeds and York and the Yorkshire Choice Awards next week! 💫

In the midst of a busy May we had also been recognised as Recruitment Staffing Agency 2026 with Diamond Distinction Awards, A great honour and privilege to accept this recognition as they say

Our litter picking team rocked it at , even with this heat, keeping the venue clear of litter through out the day, keeping bins empty with a line pick after the tribute act RE Take That and Invades students takeover on the Clocktower!

Litter Pickers are unsung heroes, they mixed with a strong 15,000 crowd over the weekend and tend go unseen, so here is a big shout out and thank you to them for a hard graft over then weekend!
