Our Public Lecture, 'Football and Dementia: What Do We Know and Where Are We Going?' sparked a brilliant debate this evening as a pre-conference event.

Thanks to Dr Tiago Peçanha who explored football and brain health, focusing on what science currently tells us about the links between heading the ball, head injuries, and the risk of dementia later in life.

We had delegates join in person at Manchester Metropolitan University and online via Zoom.

The CASES Volunteer of the Year Award 2026 opens its nominations window today, at the start of Volunteers' Week 2026.

Volunteers’ Week is a national, annual celebration of the millions of people who volunteer throughout the UK and runs 1 to 7 June 2026.

CASES strives to recognise all the hard work and dedication that CASES and its members receive from the volunteers working on behalf of the Association through these annual awards.

Members can be nominated from today, Monday 1 June until the closing date of Tuesday 1 September 2026 with a simple online nomination form.
