Morning Everyone,
With everything that’s going on I wanted to post something.
What’s happening in the world right now is beyond mad. For those of us that are freelance / self-employed (like me), it feels like we’re all desperately trying to figure out how we can adapt and work out our roles in this ‘new normal’ we’re faced with.
Obviously, there’s very little recruitment happening at the moment. But whilst arranging interviews and putting jobs offers to people is what pays the bills, it’s just a small part of my normal day-to-day stuff. I spend much more of my time speaking with people about all kinds of work-related stuff – offering my perspective on what changes they can make to get better outcomes.
I’m still here for that. And I’m still really up for speaking to whoever feels like they need a bit of advice or just to be someone you can talk things through with.
We’re looking at a lot of down time for the foreseeable future so if ever there was an opportunity to get your portfolio together and looking sharp, it’s now. Wouldn’t it be great to be ready to hit things hard once we get on the other side of this? I’d love to help you with that.

I’ll be taking calls from home of course – a home I share with my wife, daughter (5 yr) and son (10wks) – so, whilst I’ll be diving into my ‘office’ as often as possible, there’s likely to be the odd bit of *background* noise so bear with me!
In the meantime, stay safe out there and I hope you can use this time to good effect. As Boris keeps telling us, we’ve all got a job to do here and I think continuing to talk to each other is about just about the most important one there is.
