πŸš— VOLUNTEER DRIVERS NEEDED! πŸš—

On Monday alone, the Yum Community Pantry and Fridge fed 65 households in our community.

This incredible impact is only possible because of our amazing volunteer drivers who pick up and deliver surplus food. However, the reality is that over the past year, demand for affordable and emergency food has doubled.

We are stretched to our limits and desperately need more pairs of hands (and wheels!) to keep up.

πŸ•’ Can you spare some time?
We are looking for reliable volunteers for surplus food collections from local supermarkets on:

Thursday evenings

Sunday evenings

If you have a car, a valid driving license, and a desire to stop good food from going to waste while helping your neighbors, we want to hear from you! Even volunteering just one evening a month makes a massive difference.

πŸ“₯ How to apply:
Send us a DM directly on Facebook or email us at [email protected] to get started.

Let’s feed our community together! πŸ’›

Your organisation's legal structure might feel like background admin.

But when it comes to accessing social investment, it can be the difference between having options and hitting a wall.

Our latest blog on Good Finance explores how your legal structure shapes the types of finance available to you and the key things you need to consider before having conversations with social investors.

Structure isn't destiny. But understanding where you sit, and what that means for your financing options, is the starting point for a much more productive conversation with investors.

We've also pulled together a practical guide from Anthony Collins Solicitors and resources from UnLtd to help you get started.

One of our incredible graduates has been featured in The Telegraph today, telling readers about his journey from banker to barista.

Anyone who has met Rob knows that he brings joy and positivity everywhere he goes. On programme, he brought a smile to everyone's faces and even shared his journey in front of all the guests at his graduation ceremony. Now he is working as a Head Barista at Fieldfisher and is absolutely smashing it! We love seeing our graduates thrive and hearing about their success stories.

Employee expectations, political domestic and global issues, are impacting on the pace of change in the workplace and for many, and wellbeing is falling behind. Workplaces that value and embrace openness, flexibility, and collaboration with their people have the edge, when it comes to inclusive recruitment and retention. Where people-centred leadership training is missing, this can lead to sick leave, any life or work related stress triggers exacerbating, burnout, and even exit. All having an impact on people wellbeing, the people and inclusion investment made by businesses and their bottom line.

Supporting inclusion and the wellbeing of leaders and their team members, developing psychologically safe, policies and practise and an inclusive, accessible, well and pleasant working environment (all we can support you with); can make a significant difference to creating a workplace where people want to be. And empower people to lead the change they and you want to see. Do you agree? What could improve your inclusive working environment?
