💥 The five-minute habit that compounds interview performance 💥

Most candidates walk out of an interview and immediately try to forget it happened. That's a missed opportunity.

The best performers treat every interview (successful or not!) as data. They debrief while it's fresh, then use what they learn to sharpen their approach for the next one.

Here's what a quick post-interview debrief looks like:

✔ What questions came up? Write them down verbatim if possible. Patterns emerge quickly, the same competency questions appear across firms.

✔ Where did the answer fall flat? Be honest. A stumble on "Why this firm?" or a weak example under pressure is worth noting and fixing.

✔ What research gaps showed? If a question caught you off guard because you didn't know enough about the firm, the market, or the role, that's a gap to close before the next conversation.

✔ What went well? Confidence builds on evidence. Note what landed so it can be repeated.

This takes five minutes. But done consistently, it creates a personal playbook. A record of what works, what doesn't, and where preparation needs tightening.

Candidates who do this don't just get better at interviews. They out-prepare everyone who's winging it each time.
