We’re continuing our conversations on automotive leadership with a six-part series exploring the key themes which emerged from our cross-industry white paper.

The first article explores the theme: “Strategy is aligned, capability is not.”

While organisations are typically clear on their direction, the real challenge lies in ex*****on. How to close the gap between intent and organisational capability.

We worked with Nigel McMinn, Managing Director at Pybus Recruitment to speak with Gemma McNeill, People Director at Volvo Car UK and Jamie Vindis, Managing Director at Vindis Group to get their perspective on how this challenge is playing out in practice, and what it takes to bridge the gap between strategy and delivery.

Their insights highlight a clear shift: competitive advantage is no longer just about having the right strategy, but having the capability to execute it at pace.
