June marks Pride month, celebrating equality and increased visibility of LGBTQIA+ communities around the world, and within the Engineering Construction Industry too!

Championing diversity and inclusion is a strategic objective for the ECITB as we work to support and influence the ECI in creating a strong culture of inclusion for all, regardless of background.

To support this, our employers can access a range of free online learning through the Learning Experience Platform (LXP), including bite-sized lessons focused on fostering diversity, inclusion and allyship in the workplace.

ECITB Director of Regional Operations, Matt Knights, and Chair of the Project Management Steering Group (PMSG), Robert Crofts, thanked both Ally Smith and Calum Sutherland for their significant input to the work of the PMSG for many, many years and wished them well in their future endeavours.

Matt said: “Without their goodwill and work in this time the PMSG would not be where it is today - continuing to deliver meaningful learning and development interventions across project professions.”

The PMSG was formed in 2014 to drive and positively influence the skills and competence development for project controls, project management and project leadership.

The group is actively looking to recruit new members who are highly experienced in the area of project controls.
