We had a fantastic day on Friday with our employee team building day and annual company awards in the evening. 🙌

Our team day kicked off with a Hunted-style challenge, putting our teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills to the test. After plenty of laughs (and a few close escapes!), we came together for our annual company awards.

You can walk into our Kidderminster office off the street. People often do!

Here’s what happens next: One of three industrial Consultants sits down with you and asks about your life before they ask about a job.

• What shifts work around your family.

• Whether your partner is on days and you need nights.

• Where you live, whether you drive, how you’ll get to work.

• Whether you want to be on your feet all day or need to be seated.

• And the extensive list goes on!

Then, if you’re not sure what suits you, we test! Dexterity tests for assembly. Heavy equipment for manual roles. Computer tests for scanners and warehouse systems.

Then we show you videos of the actual sites, so you can picture yourself doing the job every day before you say yes.

Only after all that do we talk about vacancies. By then we know which jobs will suit you, rather than which person we can squeeze into a job just to make a fee. Never been our style, never will be.

Sure, it means qualification takes longer. But it also means people stay and retention is not something we ever lose a night’s sleep over.
