Shabbir Ahmad, Andrew Joseph, Rodger Morley and Tracie Norton spent the day yesterday at the Wabtec UK Careers Fair in Doncaster, supporting employees as they explore their next move.

This involved talking through options across engineering and manufacturing, sharing advice on CVs and interviews, and helping people work out where their skills and experience could transfer in the industry.

Last night, Megan Hepworth and Matt Booth attended the Leeds Manufacturing Festival Sponsors Dinner, a perfect way to round off National Manufacturing Day! ⚙️

The evening celebrated everything the festival achieved this year, bringing together employers, sponsors, and education all working towards the same goal: promoting careers in manufacturing and engineering to the next generation.

Great to hear from Rt Hon Robert Halfon, Executive Director for Policy and External Affairs at Make UK, Adam Johnson at Tudor International Freight, who kindly sponsored the dinner and our compare for the evening Mark C***i from the West & North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce. Happy National Manufacturing Day! 🏭

Today, Andrew Joseph and Alex Feather are over at West Yorkshire Manufacturing Services in Brighouse alongside 30+ regional manufacturers and engineering businesses, all there for one reason: showing the next generation what a career in manufacturing actually looks like, in celebration of National Manufacturing Day.

School and college students will be dropping by throughout the day taking part in activities and hands-on demos, seeing live kit, and having real conversations with the people who work in the industry every day.

What a way to end the week!

On Friday, the E3R team came together for our Summer Company Update and Celebration, and it did not disappoint 🥳

We started the afternoon with some AMAZING food catered by Valley Kitchen Catering, before getting together as a team to reflect on the year so far, align on our goals for the remainder of 2026, and celebrate some brilliant achievements and special recognitions.

The day then rounded off in true E3 style, with plenty of laughs and some fiercely competitive b**r pong 🏓

Another brilliant day for our Chemical & Process Charity Golf Day at Oulton Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort last week🏌️‍♂️

The sun was glorious and the company even better. Always great to bring together so many fantastic businesses for a day of golf, all in support of the Children's Heart Surgery Fund (CHSF) ❤️

Days like this are what make our sector special, a chance to step away from the desk, catch up with familiar faces, meet some new ones, and enjoy some healthy competition on the course, all for an important cause.
