We are looking to recruit an experienced Deputy Manager for a client to work in there home located in Cronton, assisting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day management and development of the home, and take a lead role in operational areas of the service, deputising for the Manager in their absence. The role is 9am till 5pm - Monday to Friday, may include shifts if needed. Salary £35k per annum
Experience of direct work with young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties is essential. Qualifications required are NVQ/Diploma Level 3/4 in Children and Young People, this is essential, Level 5 Diploma would be an advantage, any relevant professional management qualifications. Minimum of three years Residential Childcare experience of which at least one must be in a supervisory role.
Experienced Level 3 or 4 qualified RSW role are either 35 per week or 48hrs per week. £13.50 per hour.
However, within each children's home and across the organisation there is always the potential for overtime and the normal available hours for staff members normally exceeds 45 hours per week and can be more depending on the staff member’s availability and willingness to complete overtime.
The shift patterns cover a range of days, waking nights and sleep-in, however we do not pay a flat fee for sleeping in and all staff are paid their rate of pay for every hour they are within the children's home. Rotas are completed a minimum of 4 weeks in advance and are designed to meet the needs of the young people but we can be flexible to meet the needs of our team and understand the work/family balance. Our children are cared for 365 days of the year within our homes and therefore we need to staff the homes at all times meaning you may be required to work days, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
