New Vacancy - Traffic Management Officer - Farnborough £38-42k
We are pleased to be supporting our client based in Farnborough as they seek to recruit an experienced Traffic Management Officer to join the team on a permanent basis. Providing services that cover all aspects of groundworks, civils, drainage, building maintenance and Traffic Management across Surrey, Hampshire & Berkshire.
This is a permanent, full-time position offering a salary in the region of £38,000–£42,000, depending on experience. In addition, there is a performance-related bonus scheme available.
The role requires daily travel to Farnborough, and a company vehicle is provided as part of the package.
About You:
• You must have a full, clean UK driving license.
• Have Traffic Management Experience and site experience.
• Traffic Order Management: ideally circa 5years experience
• Qualifications/Registrations Required: NRSWA – Operative/Supervisor & Lantra 12D M1-M2/12D MJ
• Be confident in working in a standalone role and as part of the team, be able to organise your time efficiently and complete jobs within specified time frames.
Duties Include:
• Draft and process permits, TMO’s, TTRO’s, notices, and all matters relating to planning, highways, parking, car parks, and traffic regulations
• Draft and manage emergency and temporary traffic orders, including estimating and recording associated costs
• Liaise with finance to issue invoices and ensure client payments are received
• Maintain and update progress reports for all notices and orders in process
• Handle queries and complaints efficiently
• Manage and oversee new enquiries from initial contact through to action
• Price all traffic management (TM) requirements accurately
• Attend meetings with clients, councils, and highways authorities as required
• Oversee and manage live TM projects
• Use Joblogic and other systems to support and deliver role responsibilities
• Coordinate internally regarding project start dates and scheduling
• Generate new business through emails, calls, and site meetings
• Conduct stock checks and source new suppliers
• Ensure equipment and vehicle checks are completed and compliant
• Prepare and manage site RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements)
• Manage operatives, including onboarding, checks, and PPE compliance
• Oversee the day-to-day smooth running of all traffic management operations
• Follow up on issued quotes to secure business18. Working with the groundworks division to assist estimators in applying for permits, TM plans
