We're looking for a commercially minded Solutions Manager to play a pivotal role in the development of technically robust, compliant, and commercially competitive maintenance solutions across a diverse portfolio of facilities management and building services contracts.

This is an exciting opportunity to move beyond traditional estimating and become a key contributor to the company's growth strategy, working closely with Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to develop winning bids and long-term maintenance solutions.

The Role
As Solutions Manager, you will act as the technical lead throughout the pre-sales and tender process, designing end-to-end maintenance strategies that support successful contract bids, mobilisations, and service delivery.

You'll combine your engineering expertise with commercial awareness to create practical, innovative solutions that meet client requirements, statutory obligations, and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop compliant and optimised M&E maintenance solutions for new contracts, re-tenders, and major service variations
* Act as the technical authority throughout pre-sales and tender activities
* Design maintenance methodologies, asset management strategies, and technical solution proposals
* Ensure all solutions meet statutory, regulatory, and industry compliance standards
* Conduct site surveys, asset reviews, and technical due diligence assessments
* Support bid/no-bid decisions through technical risk evaluation
* Participate in client meetings, presentations, and technical clarification sessions
* Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure solutions are both commercially viable and operationally deliverable
* Support mobilisation planning and smooth transition from tender award to operational delivery
* Identify opportunities for innovation, efficiencies, and value-added service enhancements

About You
You will be a technically strong engineering professional with experience developing maintenance solutions within facilities management, building services, or a related service-led environment.

You will be comfortable engaging with clients and senior stakeholders, translating complex technical requirements into clear, structured, and commercially effective solutions.

Essential Skills & Experience

* Strong engineering background within Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services disciplines
* Experience supporting tenders, bids, or technical solution development
* Sound understanding of maintenance strategies, asset management, and statutory compliance
* Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance technical excellence and cost considerations
* Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Desirable

* Experience presenting at tender interviews and client meetings
* Knowledge of CAFM systems and asset data analysis
* Experience supporting contract mobilisation activities
* Understanding of facilities management and maintenance contract delivery

About the Role
Working within our busy workshop, you'll be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a range of specialist construction equipment used across the plastering, rendering, and screeding sectors.

Your duties will include:

* Servicing and repairing our hire fleet of specialist construction machinery
* Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults
* Carrying out repairs and maintenance on customer-owned equipment
* Performing safety inspections and ensuring machinery is ready for hire
* Completing service records, inspection reports, and certification paperwork
* Providing occasional technical support and advice to customers
* Supporting site visits, breakdowns, or deliveries when required
* Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment

You'll work closely with the Workshop Manager and experienced colleagues, with the freedom to use your expertise rather than being tied to unnecessary corporate processes.

What We're Looking For
This is a role for an experienced engineer who can work independently and confidently diagnose faults.

Ideally, you'll have:

* Proven experience as a Plant Fitter, Plant Mechanic, Service Engineer, or similar
* Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
* Experience working on plant, construction equipment, industrial machinery, or similar
* A practical, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving ability
* Good organisational and communication skills
* A positive, team-oriented attitude
* A commitment to delivering excellent customer service

Experience within the plant hire, construction, agricultural, or industrial equipment sectors would be highly advantageous.

About the Role

This is a hands-on supervisory role responsible for overseeing warehouse activities throughout the night, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining high service standards, and supporting the smooth transition into the day shift.

Previous experience within the air cargo, freight forwarding, transport, or logistics sector would be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

* Act as the main point of contact for night operations staff and coordinate the nightly operational plan.
* Supervise and support warehouse operatives and drivers throughout the shift.
* Oversee the loading and unloading of company vehicles, trailers, and cargo.
* Ensure all cargo is handled safely and efficiently.
* Build and break down aircraft pallets where required.
* Cross-check cargo against all relevant documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Maintain high standards of health and safety across the warehouse operation.
* Provide detailed shift handovers to the oncoming supervisor and operations team.

Candidate Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:

* Previous experience within a warehouse, transport, freight, or logistics environment.
* Supervisory or team leadership experience.
* Experience operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including forklift trucks up to 10 tonnes.
* Strong knowledge of warehouse and transport operations.
* A proactive approach to health and safety.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Strong organisational and time management abilities.
* The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
* A flexible attitude and the ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
