Its Wednesday and the World Cup Sweepstake table is already delivering more drama than some entire tournaments.
After the opening round of fixtures, the team standings are:

4 Molly – 11 points
5 Mia – 7 points
6 Aurelia – 4 points
The early headline is that there is just two points separating first and fourth.
Julie remains top thanks to strong performances across the board, but her lead is looking increasingly fragile.
Samantha has surged into contention on the back of impressive wins for Mexico and Argentina, while Molly is quietly putting together one of the most balanced campaigns so far. Norway and Ivory Coast have both delivered when it mattered, keeping her firmly in touch with the leaders.
And then there is Jacob……….
Before a ball was kicked, many felt Jacob had already won the sweepstake draw. France, Spain, England and Portugal looked like a collection of teams that could carry anyone to victory. France have done their bit with a convincing opening win, but the real question is whether the rest of his footballing superpowers will justify the pre-tournament hype.
Meanwhile, Julie continues to prove that star names alone don't win sweepstakes. Consistency across multiple teams has her at the summit, for now!
With so many favourites still to play, the only certainty is that this leaderboard has plenty more twists to come.
