Completed Project: Fairway

The Fairway kitchen is built around one confident material choice: a dramatic near-black surface crossed by bold white veining.

Working with Meadows Kitchens, Duke Stone templated, fabricated and installed the central island, L-shaped perimeter worktops and matching full-height splashbacks.
Extending the same surface onto the walls gives the pattern room to make an impact. Careful planning was essential to make each section feel intentional as the eye moves around corners and between the horizontal and vertical surfaces.

The island continues the statement finish and incorporates a flush induction hob, generous preparation space and an informal seating edge. Warm oak cabinetry provides a natural contrast, balancing the dark polished surface.

Completed Project: Gwithian Towans

At Gwithian Towans, pale stone surfaces connect a generous island with the surrounding worktops in this relaxed timber kitchen.

Working with Meadows Kitchens, Duke Stone templated, fabricated and installed the waterfall island, breakfast-bar surface and L-shaped perimeter run. The work included precise openings for the undermount sink and hob, along with coordinated upstands and a restrained stone detail behind the cooker.

The waterfall end continues down to the floor, framing the three-seat breakfast bar and giving the island a crisp, furniture-like form. Its softly mottled finish complements the pale cabinetry while allowing the timber details and coastal light to lead the design.

Can you use bleach on granite, quartz or porcelain worktops?

Bleach might feel like the obvious choice for a thorough clean, but it should not automatically be used on every worktop.

Granite, quartz and porcelain respond differently to strong cleaning products. The stone, surface finish, sealer and manufacturer’s instructions can all affect what is safe to use.

As a general rule:
- Choose a mild cleaner suitable for your worktop
- Wipe spills away promptly
- Avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemicals
- Never mix bleach with other cleaning products
- Check the guidance supplied with your exact surface

Completed Project: Honor Oak

Pale veined stone creates a dedicated sink and preparation area at the heart of this beautifully framed oak kitchen.

Working with Meadows Kitchens, Duke Stone templated, fabricated and installed the worktop around the prominent Belfast-style sink. The same material continues upwards as a full-height splashback, where concealed shelf lighting draws attention to its delicate movement.

Because the stone sits within a timber alcove, every junction is on display. Careful templating and fabrication allowed the worktop, sink, cabinets, splashback and shelf line to meet with a balanced, precisely resolved finish.
