Job description

PCLR are looking to hire a Nursery Assistant for Newcastle City Council.

Job Purpose

To engage with children on an individual level while still supervising the rest of the classroom.

To ensure that all children within your responsibility are safe.

Rate of Pay

£9.50 per hour

Shifts

To be discussed upon interview.

Candidates Requirements

Essential:

Level 2 or equivalent in Child Care

Grade C or above in GCSE maths and English

Enhanced DBS within last 36 months

Job Duties:

Planning and supervising fun and educational activities

Managing a daily schedule that includes activities, toilet breaks, lunch and rest time

Observing children and taking notes of any problematic behaviour

Feeding and changing babies

Communicating with parents and staff members

Ensuring the safety of children

Helping children learn numeracy and language through daily activities

This is a brilliant opportunity to work within the council.

This role is for 15 months but will more than likely be extended.

PCLR will find you more work if the contract finishes.

They are looking to take on ASAP so if you are looking for work this could be an ideal opportunity.
