Question of the month from MWM!

It's a difficult one for me. It's coming up to 3 years since my mum died of cancer. Her ashes are in the cupboard under the stairs and I have no idea what to do with granny! (well I do have ideas... but not done anything about them yet). I'm not sure I want to bring her to meetings?!?!

Mum knitted gorgeous socks which will be making an appearance again soon with the colder weather and she knitted cute jumpers for the then toddler Toby and boob beanie hats for baby Anna. She moved to Hebden and would've loved to come to our Hebden meetings and knit with us!

We also have a Granny Eleanor Ross too who is also very creative and would be very welcome at our meetings!

Every month we pose a question or a topic you can discuss at your nearest hub, online, with a pal or for yourself. This month we're thinking about Grannies... https://motherswhomake.org/question-of-the-month/ We'd love to hear your thoughts.

About Halifax Mothers Who Make

Mothers Who Make is a growing national initiative where we create an adult-centred but child-friendly space to discuss mothering and making in a relaxed talking circle. All art forms are welcome... writers, musicians, actors, film-makers, dancers, visual artists... in short anyone engaged in a creative practice. Makers can be professional and/or passionate. No particular level of experience is necessary to attend... women at any stage of their careers or creative journeys are welcome.

Here at MWM Halifax we are steadily creating a lovely friendly network of mothers who are inspiring each other with support, sharing and strength. We welcome children of all ages; whether they are inside you, attached to you, beside you or confidently exploring the room and the small selection of toys. Mothers of older children are also extremely welcome.
