Sorry to rant but.... I lived in Germany back in the 80's and even back then drivers were treated properly as compared to their UK counterparts. They were always shepherded to the front of queues in service stations, had great facilities at hand ie numerous, clean showers and were catered very well. Why the bloody hell are UK drivers still not appropriately respected by the establishment and the service industry??? The last time I drove an artic on nights out, I landed at Gordano and needed a shower. Holy s**t, I was disgusted at the nastiness I was confronted with. I went and bought some wet wipes and had a dry wash in the cab. This I was told by a seasoned tramper as the norm and indeed was better than most. Parking?....now dont start me on that. They charge an arm and a leg for everything including the parking so why not give subsidised meals and decent facilities!!?? It is so wrong!!

Driving to the office this morning M5 northbound and noticed a clearly overweight van swerving in the middle lane. When I overtook him, he was was on his mobile. I wish I reported the idiot!!!!
