Happy 7th anniversary to Lisa Kayes! 💚

As MRG’s very first employee, Lisa has been part of the journey from the very beginning, from starting as a Recruitment Consultant to becoming our Business Manager and a huge part of the team we have today.

Of course, seven years at MRG has also meant plenty of slow sing-alongs in the office, lunchtime trips to ZARA and a fair share of iced lattes along the way ☕️

Thank you for everything you’ve done and continue to do for MRG, Lisa. It really wouldn’t be the same without you.

On Friday, some of the MRG team headed along to The Yard Glasgow for a morning of volunteering as part of our charity partnership.

The Yard provides inclusive play experiences and family support for disabled children and young people across Scotland, and recently opened its new Glasgow service.

We spent the morning getting stuck into some gardening and maintenance, helping to w**d, clear and tidy their outdoor meeting area ready to welcome future visitors 🌱

Our partnership goes beyond volunteering too. If you’re looking for a new recruitment partner, quote “The Yard” when you get in touch, and every placement we make will help fund access for three families for an entire year.

A big thank you to everyone at The Yard for having us, we’re proud to support the work they do and look forward to getting involved again 💛

The Marketing Mixer has a new home!

We’re excited to announce that, going forward, The Marketing Mixer will be hosted at The Townhouse by on Saint Vincent Street in Glasgow.

We’ve chosen a more intimate venue to create an even better experience for everyone who attends. It means more meaningful conversations, easier networking, and a space that’s designed to bring Glasgow’s marketing community together.

One thing to keep in mind... with a smaller venue comes fewer tickets.

Spaces will be limited for every event, so when tickets go live, you’ll want to be quick.

We’ll be sharing the ticket link, speaker line-up and everything else very soon... 👀

The last few months at MRG 📸

From welcoming Paul and Jack to the team, moving into our new office at Quintessential Offices and meeting our new neighbours at the summer BBQ, to visiting our charity partner, St Roch’s Primary, with essential supplies for the summer holidays.

We’ve also been busy behind the scenes meeting clients about exciting new opportunities, sponsoring another fantastic Tech MeetUp - Glasgow, and (very importantly) keeping a close eye on the World Cup sweepstake in the office ⚽

There have been plenty of team lunches, pub quizzes, coffees (and American sweets courtesy of Tracy’s trip to Boston 🍬) along the way too.

We’ve been keeping busy behind the scenes, and we’re excited to finally start sharing what we’ve been working on.

We’re back on Thursday 27th August with a new venue, new speakers, and plenty of opportunities to meet fellow marketers from across Glasgow.

Please join us in welcoming Jack Dunn to the MAC Recruit Group team! 👏

Before moving into recruitment, Jack spent nearly a decade in the packaging industry, progressing from Account Manager to Sales Director, before deciding it was time to stop talking about cardboard boxes and start talking about people instead!

After a year in recruitment, we’re delighted he’s chosen to continue that journey with MRG, specialising in Engineering & Renewable Energy, and we’re looking forward to seeing what we can achieve together.

Outside of work, Jack’s biggest interests are travelling, trying new food, dogs and football... with Crystal Palace taking the top spot! He’s always up for a chat, whether it’s about recruitment, travel recommendations, the best places to eat, or explaining why Palace are about to win their fourth trophy in three years 🏆
