Warehouse Operative – Uddingston – Early Morning Shift
People Solutions are currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join our well-established parcel distribution client based in Uddingston.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering competitive rates of pay, flexible early morning shifts, weekly pay and immediate starts during a busy peak period.

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as a Warehouse Operative, Parcel Sorter, Parcel Handler, Warehouse Assistant or Loader.
Shifts
• Monday to Sunday operation
• Start times between 02:00 and 06:00
• Shift lengths vary depending on parcel volumes
• Weekend availability required
• Flexible peak-period work
Rates of Pay
• £15.01 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties
As a Warehouse Operative, your duties will include:
• Loading and unloading parcels from trailers
• Sorting parcels for onward distribution
• Scanning parcels using handheld scanners
• Moving and stacking parcels safely
• Completing regular manual handling duties
• Working efficiently within a fast-paced environment
• Following all health and safety procedures
Essential Skills
To be successful as a Warehouse Operative, you will need:
• Physically fit and comfortable with repetitive lifting
• Flexibility to start between 02:00 and 06:00
• Availability to work weekends when required
• Reliable with excellent attendance and timekeeping
• Ability to travel reliably to Uddingston for early starts
• Availability for an immediate start
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check if continuing in the role beyond approximately 3–4 weeks
Desirable Experience
• Previous experience in a warehouse or parcel distribution environment
Training Provided
• Full site assessment
• Site induction and training

Important Information
Candidates who continue working at the site beyond approximately 3–4 weeks will be required to undergo a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check as part of the client's ongoing site requirements.
You do not need to hold a DBS certificate before applying, but you must be willing to complete the necessary checks when required.
