Are you an experienced Project Manager looking to take the lead on major renewable energy projects?

We're recruiting for a Principal Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of complex hydropower projects from conception through to completion. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established engineering contractor working on a high-profile hydro power station project near Oban.

💼 What you'll be doing:
✅ Leading multidisciplinary teams across civil, mechanical, electrical, and environmental disciplines
✅ Managing full project lifecycles, ensuring safe and efficient delivery
✅ Overseeing turbines, generators, control systems, civil works, and live water environment activities
✅ Managing project budgets, cash flow, procurement strategies, and commercial performance
✅ Acting as the key point of contact for clients, suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders
✅ Driving a strong health & safety culture across all project activities

🎯 What we're looking for:
✔ Proven experience delivering hydropower or renewable energy projects
✔ Strong NEC and/or FIDIC contract management experience
✔ Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
✔ Experience in project controls and risk management
✔ SMSTS, SSSTS, or IOSH Managing Safely certification

💰 Package:

Are you a commercially minded professional with experience in sales estimating and a passion for building strong customer relationships? We're looking for a confident Internal Sales / Sales Estimator to join a growing team where no two days are the same.

🔹 What you'll be doing:
✅ Acting as the main point of contact for key customers
✅ Reviewing enquiries, including Bills of Materials, drawings, specifications and written requirements
✅ Preparing accurate quotations for manufactured parts
✅ Sourcing raw materials in line with customer specifications
✅ Estimating machine times alongside the Production team
✅ Obtaining quotes for additional testing and coatings
✅ Liaising with Production to establish lead times
✅ Carrying out contract reviews and preparing job packages
✅ Ordering and allocating materials
✅ Creating job routings and simple drawings
✅ Keeping customers informed of progress and any delays
✅ Meeting clients face-to-face to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities

👤 What we're looking for:

🔹 Confidence in dealing directly with customers and visiting client sites
🔹 Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
🔹 A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities
