This permanent apprenticeship is available immediately. You will be employed by the University of Exeter in an exciting and passionate team within the Operations department of University Sport at our Streatham and St Lukes campuses in Exeter and will be enrolled on the level 2 Leisure Operations with Exeter College.

Through your apprenticeship, you will gain knowledge, practical experience, and develop the skills you need to do this job and to succeed in your career. Your college attendance at Exeter College and any on the job requirements will be supported through workplace training and mentors. Working as part of a team you will be responsible for the efficient, safe operation of three sites and for delivering high standards of service across all facilities. This will include lifeguarding, setups and takedowns of all equipment, supervising the gyms and maintaining the cleanliness of all facilities.
Our early career apprenticeships are aimed at (but not limited to) enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated school/college leavers aged 16 years and above.
Our ideal candidate will have:
At least GCSE Maths and English grade C/4 or above
A willingness to learn, and put into practice, new knowledge, skills and behaviours
A desire to develop both personally and professionally
A positive, can-do, attitude
Good interpersonal and communication skills
This apprenticeship may be at the same level as, or at a lower level than, a qualification you already hold. It should allow you to acquire substantive new skills and the content must be materially different from any prior qualification or a previous apprenticeship.
On successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will have gained invaluable skills, experience, and there may be opportunities to continue your career working at the University of Exeter.
