Most recruitment content is boring. There, we’ve said it out loud.
If you’re , you’re scanning everything with several questions in mind: 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘫𝘰𝘣 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭, 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘷𝘢𝘯𝘵, 𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘺 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦, 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘱𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥, 𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘵 𝘩𝘺𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘥, 𝘥𝘰 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦 5 𝘥𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘢 𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘬, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 200 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘪𝘵?
If you’re , you’re on the other side of it thinking: 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘐 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘦, 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭, 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘥𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘫𝘰𝘣, 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘭𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘐 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘪𝘯, 𝘥𝘰 𝘐 𝘩𝘪𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘰𝘳 𝘯𝘰𝘵?
👉 Two completely different perspectives with very similar frustrations.
But most recruitment content doesn’t speak to either of you - it drifts into polished, abstract language, with the odd buzzword thrown in that sounds like it’s written for other recruiters, not for the people making the decisions.
The irony is, recruitment isn’t complicated, but it does hinge on professionalism, timing, real human beings, honesty, transparency and informed decision-making. But the way it’s often spoken about has turned it into something far more dull than it needs to be, with constant talk of 'hot jobs', ‘unicorn candidates’ and ‘top talent’.
So, whether you’re or , you’ll probably just scroll past the run-of-the-mill content.
But if this resonates with you, then great, this is what we talk about: having honest conversations about recruitment and hiring, because they are real, and really important.
(We're just slightly more unfiltered than the usual recruitment noise).
