Buyer / Paint Specialist – Decorating Company
Location: Romford (Office-Based)
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per year
Job Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, No Weekends)
We are seeking a Buyer / Paint Specialist to join our growing team in a vibrant and friendly office environment. This role is perfect for someone with experience in Dulux Decorating Centre, Brewers, Johnsons, Crown Decorating Centres, or a similar background who is looking to step away from weekend work while advancing their career in procurement.

The Role
As a Buyer / Paint Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services to support our operations. You will play a key role in negotiating with suppliers, managing inventory, and ensuring timely deliveries, particularly for paint and decorating materials.
No previous experince withing buying needed just need knowlege of paint products
Key Responsibilities
Creating and processing purchase orders.
Liaising with suppliers to secure the best pricing and availability.
Arranging booking slots when required.
Coordinating with site and stores to ensure accurate deliveries.
Meeting with suppliers and sourcing specialist products (e.g., wallpaper).
Ordering plant for site use and tracking equipment hire.
Ensuring all certificates and compliance documents are up to date.
Accurately costing purchase orders and issuing them to accounts.
What We’re Looking For
Experience working in a decorating centre or knowledge of paint products and plant equipment.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
A detail-oriented and proactive approach to procurement.
Ability to manage supplier relationships and maintain inventory levels efficiently.
Competence in procurement systems and basic administration.
