Meet Kai our Nursery Manager at Fennies Kings Hall. Kai started out as an apprentice back in 2016 and since then her career has taken off with Fennies!

“Since joining Fennies as an apprentice I have been motivated to progress and grow through a variety of different roles including Room Leader and Deputy Manager before taking on the role of Nursery Manager. My apprenticeship formed a foundation for me to grow within such an evolving and rewarding industry. Having this experience now allows me to drive my aspiring team forward and offer opportunities for them to share innovative ideas each day, which I know will have a huge impact on each child’s future.” - Kai, Fennies Kings Hall Manager

What will you be doing?

You will be joining at a very exciting time for Fennies and will be responsible for the smooth set up, development and running of the nursery. Your responsibilities will be varied and far-reaching including;
- Achieving and maintaining the highest standards of care
- Leading and managing the staff team effectively
- Supporting the management of staff recruitment and retention
- Manage the budget and occupancy levels effectively
- Ensure all policies are implemented and adhered to at all times
- Develop and maintain our excellent partnerships with parents

What are we looking for?

You’ll be hardworking and hungry to learn. What really matters is someone that is passionate about our mission and values and who will add value to our culture. We’re looking for someone who thinks creatively and is not afraid to use their initiative to implement exciting learning opportunities that inspire both the children and their team.
To be considered for this role you must hold a relevant Level 3 qualification or above.

Qualifications and Experience

- At least NNEB, CACHE level 3, NVQ level 3 or equivalent minimum. - BA(Hons) or EYP an advantage
- Significant post-qualification experience and relevant supervisory experience
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation
- Significant experience working within a large stetting
- Extensive knowledge and experience of delivering OFSTED standards
- Strong people management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a staff team
- Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities
- Passion for delivering outstanding childcare and learning
- Lots of energy and a positive ‘can do’ attitude
