🎄 A small Christmas reflection from us at Judgement Index
For many years, we sent Christmas cards to clients and colleagues at this time of year. More recently, we paused and asked ourselves a simple question... where do those cards actually end up now?
With flexible and remote working being the norm for many, it felt increasingly likely that a lot of festive post would sit unopened in offices… or be redirected, recycled, or missed altogether.
So, for the past few years, we’ve chosen a different approach. Instead of cards, we make a Christmas donation to Circus Starr - a charity that tours the UK bringing high-quality, fully accessible circus shows to children who may otherwise never get the chance to experience them.
Circus Starr supports children with disabilities, families on low incomes, and those facing significant challenges such as bereavement, domestic violence, or life-limiting conditions. Our donation helps fund tickets so that children and their carers can enjoy a magical few hours together.
It’s not about doing the “right” thing — it’s simply what feels most aligned with our values as a business:
- being thoughtful rather than performative
- choosing impact over habit
- and finding small ways to bring genuine joy to others
We’re sharing this not as a statement, but as a gentle idea. If you’ve ever found yourself wondering whether there’s another way to mark the season, this is one option that’s really resonated with us.
Wishing everyone a warm, restful end to the year ✨
