The month of May. This involved mostly making hanging baskets, then hanging those baskets around Abertillery town for Abertillery & Llanhilleth Community Council and subsequently watering those baskets in the heatwave 🌞

We completed a small job at Six Bells park weeding and reseeding a flower bed and helped out our friends at Ebbw Fach Community Group by replacing a raised bed for them that had seen better days.

We saw new volunteers Paul and Joe out with us who helped with the garden and plants at Parc Bryn Bach in the sunshine and of course our regulars were out with us as usual so thank you to everyone who gave their time to work on our various projects. 👏👏

A lovely week with mixed sunshine and showers with some great progress up at Bryn Bach Park where the plants are really starting to flourish for Abertillery & Llanhilleth Community Council. We had a volunteer open day at Cwm where BRFM turned up to find out about our future plans with the site. Some wooly visitors got into the site at Cwm and onto the banks at Abertillery underpass where they decided to munch on some freshly planted plants 🤦‍♂️.
New planters are in position ready to be filled for Llanhilleth Tennants and Residents , replacing the rotten wooden plants and swapped for some nice composite ones.
Mandy also called down to see our friends at Aberbeeg community centre. Loads of developments to bring you over the coming weeks. All brought to you by our amazing team of volunteers and staff.
