INVESTING IN FLEET = INVESTING IN CAPABILITY.

At TLS, we operate a fleet of 250+ specialist vehicles across the UK, covering everything from small vans and 3.5t traffic management vehicles through to Impact Protection Vehicles (IPVs), welfare vehicles and other specialist service vehicles.

The fleet continues to grow as we expand our national footprint, with ongoing investment ensuring vehicles are modern, reliable and fit for purpose.

Owning, operating and investing in this scale of fleet gives us the ability to provide a genuine plug-and-play managed support service - bringing the vehicles & equipment, as well as the people required for schemes without our clients having to provide additional assets themselves.

With further investment planned, the TLS fleet is only going one way.

With that said, acquiring vehicles isn't a vanity project to champion a 'big' number. Our investment and growing fleet are a nod to capability and service, with growing demand requiring further investment to deliver consistently to the highest of standards.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND TLS

Vehicles, equipment, depots and technology all play their part - but ultimately, TLS is a people business.

At the heart of everything TLS delivers is a workforce of 1,500 fully trained operatives, deployed across the UK's highways network to support some of the industry's leading traffic management contractors.

Every week, around 200 TLS crews are put to work across schemes nationwide.

And across a typical month, those teams collectively cover around 13,000 shifts.

That's 13,000 occasions every month where a TLS operative is turning up, getting to work and helping keep highways projects moving safely and efficiently.

We featured on HighwaysIndustry.Com recently for investing in new welfare vehicles for our workforce!

Investment to us is all about giving our people the very best environment to work in and ensuring our clients receive the highest standards of service on every project.

That's why we've recently added five brand new welfare vehicles to our fleet.

By investing in our own welfare vehicles rather than relying on hire, we're ensuring they're always available when our teams need them - providing reliable, comfortable welfare facilities on site while strengthening our ability to respond quickly to client requirements.

TLS Group is delighted to be supporting the Rugby League Club Under 15s Girls Rugby League team for the 2026 season, sponsoring the team's training kit and helping to deliver further value and support to communities.

Based in Bradford, West Yorkshire, the Bluedogs are a true community rugby league club, welcoming players from across a wide range of age groups. With teams for both boys and girls, the club runs from Pups aged just three through to open-age adult rugby - creating opportunities for people of all ages to enjoy the sport.

The partnership has a personal connection to TLS, with Ruby Coomber, daughter of TLS Operations Manager Ryan Coomber, playing for the Under 15s team.

For TLS, supporting sport, fitness and wellbeing is an important part of its wider community commitment. The company is particularly passionate about encouraging youth participation and helping more young women access the benefits of team sport.

"Rugby has been a big part of Ruby's progression to a young lady and has given her something to focus on, as well as being a great source of fitness. It's fantastic that TLS is lending its weight to both her and her teammates." Says Ryan.

TLS prides itself on the team spirit and camaraderie that exists across its own workforce, and the company is proud to play a small part in helping the next generation of young women develop that same sense of belonging and teamwork.

The Bluedogs represent everything that makes grassroots sport so important - community, friendship, fitness, confidence and the opportunity to grow together.

TLS wishes the team the very best of luck for the rest of the 2026 season and is proud to support the cause!

Men's Health Week 2026 - Supporting Wellbeing Across Team TLS

This week marks Men's Health Week UK (15-21 June 2026), an annual campaign organised by the Men's Health Forum to raise awareness of men's health and encourage men to seek support when they need it.

According to the BUPA Wellbeing Index, 50% of men have experienced mental health difficulties at some point in their lives, yet fewer than half have sought medical advice.

It is a stark reminder of why conversations around mental health remain so important.

At TLS Group, supporting wellbeing extends beyond the workplace. As a proud partner of Mates in Mind and supporter of the Lighthouse Club Charity, we're committed to raising awareness of mental health and ensuring support is available before people reach crisis point.

These commitments are backed up by practical action. A recent wellbeing initiative saw us provide football equipment for members of our Manchester team, who now regularly come together on a Sunday for a kickabout.

We believe this sector is built on teamwork, and looking after each other is just as important as looking after the job.

Throughout Men's Health Week, we encourage everyone to check in on their colleagues, friends and family, to start conversations where they can, and to remember that seeking help is a sign of strength.

At TLS, investing in people goes beyond training, qualifications and career development.

Recently, the company was approached by team members who wanted to organise regular Sunday football sessions - an opportunity for friends and colleagues to get together to enjoy a kickabout and unwind away from work.

Recognising the value of the initiative, TLS was pleased to provide kit such as footballs and training bibs to help get things underway.

While it may seem like a simple gesture, it reflects something much bigger. Activities like this help promote physical health, support mental wellbeing and strengthen the camaraderie that makes teams stronger.

By bringing people together in a different environment, colleagues can relax, recharge and build relationships that ultimately benefit everyone.

Here's to many Sunday kickabouts ahead!

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week, and mental health awareness at is something extremely important to us, because our people are at the heart of everything we do.

We want everyone to feel supported, comfortable speaking up, and confident that they’re not facing challenges alone.

By encouraging open, honest conversations and looking out for one another, we help create a positive and caring workplace where everyone can do their best.

Beyond our own four walls, we’re proud to support the Lighthouse Foundation, which provides vital mental health support across our industry, and to be members of Mates in Mind, reinforcing our commitment to improving wellbeing at work.

These partnerships, alongside our approach to our own workforce showcase our dedication to building a friendly, supportive environment where mental health is taken seriously, and everyone feels valued.
