The suitable candidate will gain experience in the operations and production of manufacturing facilities that supply to the Middle East, Asia and the UK. The correct candidate will be responsible for supporting the Production, Projects and Sales Departments to meet customer requirements. You will assist the production planner in creating and maintaining production schedules for the facilties. Full on the job training is provided.

Hand Picked from CR Smith are delighted to share an opportunity for a young person to work for a small electrical engineering business in Dalgety Bay.

The business builds, supplies and installs large electrical panels to National Grid Electricity substations and other sites across England and Wales.

The successful candidate will spend approximately 40% of their working week away from the Fife area and should be willing to do this on a regular basis.

The current working week is Monday to Thursday 7.30am-6pm. When travelling, you will stay in a hotel with the rest of the installation team with all expenses covered.

Working as a Trainee Panel Wirer/Installer, the successful candidate will develop skills in the electrotechnical industry. You will attend specialist training when you first start and should be comfortable reading and understanding technical drawings.

The ideal candidate will have National 5 or Highers in technical subjects from school or have passed an electrical course at college. You should be keen to develop a career in an electrical field, have a positive, can-do attitude and be extremely reliable. You should also be looking to obtain a full driving licence.

Salary being offered is upwards of £21,000 per year depending upon experience.

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to work as an office junior within a legal firm in Dunfermline City Centre.

The role requires a motivated and confident person to work as part of a team to support the legal practice with important administrative functions. You will be involved in everything from mail handling, document scanning and database management. Working for the office manager and the Partners of the practice, you will also be involved in the set-up of meeting rooms, arranging lunches and carrying out other errands as required.

The successful candidate will gain experience in all aspects of administration and should have a good understanding of MS Office packages – specifically Word and Excel, however full training on in-house systems will be given. ****Trainee Quality Technician***

We have an exciting opportunity for a young person to start a career as a Trainee Quality Technician within a Manufacturing facility based in Glenrothes. You should have an interest in Chemistry and high levels of attention to detail with the ability to problem solve.

You will gain experience in Quality function alongside attending college part time to complete an HNC in Applied Sciences. This role plays an important part of quality product function and you will be responsible for supporting the Technical, Operations and Manufacturing departments.

Required Qualifications:
· Minimum of 2 Higher SQA passes of which one should be a Science, Chemistry is desirable
· National 5 Maths is required

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to start their career in catering as a trainee cook with a new innovative café and gift shop in Kirkcaldy.
Priding itself on eco awareness and the quality of food we serve to customers “a cook from fresh” philosophy is followed. As a trainee cook you will be supported to learn and grow within a fast-paced kitchen under the supervision of the Head Cook.
You will gain experience of preparing and cooking food for daily sales and catering functions, reviewing the menu, assisting with stock control and ordering as well as delivering excellent customer service and supporting to the business to thrive each day.

Congratulations to Robbie from Falkland House school who completed the Hospitality Academy in association with Dakota Hotel last month.

Robbie is delighted to have secured employment at the Dakota Hotel within Housekeeping and is excited to learn lots of new skills.

Well done Robbie!

Last week Robbie took part in a Hospitality Academy organised by Picked from CR Smith in collaboration with Dakota Hotels. Over the five-day course, he got an insight into different sectors of the hospitality industry including Front of House, Bar & Restaurant and Housekeeping, he attended live demos as well as a cocktail masterclass, and he even had the opportunity to gain a Barista qualification!

Here's a photo of Robbie about to go for a mock interview on the last day of the course, which, we've been told, went exceptionally well. Well done, Robbie!

The course will run from Monday 18th April – Friday 22nd April 9:30am-4pm daily.

The 5 day course will educate you on hospitality and access available careers. You will spend a day at the Dakota hotel in practical workshops including Cheffing, Front of House, Bar & Restaurant and Housekeeping. You will also spend a day gaining a Barista qualification – transferrable into future careers in hospitality.
