Hot Chocolate Trust is organising and hosting two community events for all young people in Dundee to attend and discover the support available to them:

The first one on the 19th of June from 3 to 6 pm at McDonald's Reform Street.

And the second one on the 3rd of July from 12 pm to 4 pm at Hot Chocolate Trust, Steeple Church.

👋 Meet Xander, a 20-year-old from Hilltown, Dundee who joined our Dundee Enable Academy in April determined to find work and improve his circumstances.

From day one, Xander showed real commitment and focus. Keen to secure employment quickly and gain as many working hours as possible, he made the most of the support and structure provided through the programme. His hard work paid off, securing a job within just a few weeks of starting the Academy.

Reflecting on his experience, Xander said: "The course gave me the help I needed to find a job, and the support from Hayley and Craig was greatly appreciated."

Xander has now started a role as a Waste Operative with Pattersons Skip Hire in Dundee. The hands-on nature of the job suits him perfectly and provides the opportunity for full-time hours, helping him build both his confidence and a positive future.

🌟 We’re proud of the progress Xander has made and look forward to seeing what’s next for him.

Delivered by The King's Trust in partnership with Dechomi, this programme is designed to support young people across Scotland aged 18–30 who are either looking to start, or have recently started, an innovative business.

The six-month accelerator programme offers a range of benefits, including workshops, masterclasses, hands-on experience, and access to a grants package. Participants will also have the opportunity to win a £30,000 award at the end of the programme to further develop their business.
