Patrician Youth Centre provides, maintains and promotes facilities and activities of a social, spiritual, educational and recreational nature. The Centres purpose is to improve the conditions of life of children and young people without distinction. The Centre is fully committed to ensure the care, welfare and safety of young people who participate in the organisation.
Patrician Youth Centre are now seeking a Youth Worker who has experience of working in a full-time capacity and can undertake the duties and responsibilities of the post.

Main Purpose of The Role……
• To promote the aims and objectives of the Centre and its ethos and fulfil the requirements of the Management Committee and the delivery of the DENI Youth Service ‘Priorities for Youth’.

Requirements for the Role
Essential Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must at the closing date for applications:
• Be qualified in accordance with JNC Report for Youth Workers.

• Be able to demonstrate 2 years’ post qualifying experience of youth work delivery on a full-time basis.

• Have a minimum of 1 years’ experience of line management of a team of part time youth workers and volunteers.

BALLYMOTE CENTRE/PROJECT MANAGER (PART TIME – 20 HOURS PER WEEK)

Ballymote Community Project Ltd is one of the most successful social enterprises in Northern Ireland. It is managed by a voluntary board of Directors and is now seeking to appoint a Part-Time Centre/Project Manager.

Fully occupied since 1997, the centre now boasts a major local Supermarket, Butchers, Pharmacy, Hairdresser, Charity shop, Chinese take-away and Beauticians. A ground floor Children’s centre provides playgroup and after school facilities for local families managed by Action For Children and Sure start.

Community offices upstairs are the base for a wide range of community development and a 3000 square feet community Hall is booked most days and evenings by Special Olympics, Band, Bingo, Irish Dancing and indoor Archery, as well as conferences and training events by a wide range of organisations.

Main Purpose of The Role……

In conjunction with the Board provide focus and vision for the development of Ballymote Centre through expansion of its services, encouraging new tenants and businesses.


Protecting and extending all income generation opportunities, including grant and funding applications, for the Ballymote Community Project Ltd, managing all expenditure to pre agreed budgets and contributing to the financial Business Plan targets.


Requirements for The Role

Essential

Experience in financial management and budget forecasting
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including strong presentation and influencing skills.
Evidence of effective analytical, problem solving and decision making abilities.
Demonstrated ability to formulate and maintain effective, long term business relationships with customers and stakeholders.
Proficient in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software, email and the internet.




Desirable - Experience in a similar role.

Mrs Colgan attained a 2:1 degree in Law (LLB Honours) from Northumbria University, Newcastle in 2016. The following year, she joined Fisher Law as an apprentice.

Lindsey then qualified as a Solicitor in September 2019, having studied at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies, Queen’s University Belfast where she obtained a postgraduate diploma with commendation in Professional Legal Studies.

Lindsey advises clients on:
☑ all aspects of private client work including drafting Wills and administering estates;
☑ residential conveyancing matters, with very substantial experience in property purchases, sales and re-mortgages;
☑ personal injury litigation;
☑ family law; matrimonial law, in which she has a particular interest, regularly providing clients with impartial advice on a wide range of family issues.
