Learning Support Mentor ( Health & Personal Care )

Based in Cambridge
£11.52 to £12.00 per hour
Monday to Friday
8:30am till 16:30pm
Temporary to ongoing
Term time only

Duties include:

💚 Support students with a range of learning difficulties and other disabilities.
💚 Be able to make adjustments to encourage students to engage with lessons.
💚 Mentor students and encourage them to remain on task.
💚 Develop skills needed so that the students can understand the tasks given in class.
💚 Assist with personal care and health needs.
💚 Es**rt students to all lessons on their timetable throughout the day.
💚 May need to assist students to local shops and or encourage activities off of the campus.

Ideal candidate:

💚past or current experience in the care sector either assisting children, young adults or the elderly in a school, residential or assisted living environment.
💚 Have a GCSE in English grade C / 4 or equivalent or are willing to work towards gaining this.
💚 Will enjoy supporting students on a variety of courses.
💚 have recent experience working with people within special education ( desirable but not essential )
💚 Excellent socialising and communication skills.

Care Assistant / Support Worker
Based in Great Yarmouth
£11.44 per hour
Temporary

Hours are : Monday to Friday 9:30am till 15:30pm

As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to the residents. Key duties include:

• Assist residents with personal care
• Will predominantly be on a 1:1 basis
• Help residents with mobility and physical activities, including transferring from bed to chair.
• Monitor and record residents' health and well-being, reporting any changes to sen-ior staff.
• Provide companionship and engage residents in activities to promote mental and emotional health.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Follow care plans and ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
Requirements:

• Previous experience in a care setting is preferred.
• Compassionate and caring nature with a strong desire to help others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be able to work alone or in a team setting.
• Drive ( but not essential ) able to get to customers’ homes.
• Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (desirable).
• A valid DBS check.
• Care certificate.
