📣 Exciting Opportunity Alert: We're looking for a CAD Technician to join a reputable business in Eye, Suffolk!
The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality, manufacturer design solutions across customer-specific projects. This role is key in producing accurate drawings, maintaining Bills of Materials, and ensuring efficient design releases to production, aligning with structural, cost, safety, and contractual requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong engineering background who takes pride in technical accuracy, teamwork, and driving safe, efficient outcomes.
✨ Key Duties:
→ Produce and check approval, fabrication, and construction drawings within given timeframes.
→ Compile and verify Bills of Materials/Parts lists and ensure effective release to production.
→ Collaborate with team members, customers, and manufacturing staff for accurate information flow.
→ Assist with the implementation of Autodesk Inventor 3D and Vault Professional.
→ Apply Design for Manufacture and value-added engineering principles.
→ Drive process improvements within the Engineering & Design team.
✨ Skills & Attributes:
→ Proficient with Autodesk Inventor 3D, SolidWorks, or similar 3D software and AutoCAD packages.
→ High standard of initiative, attention to detail, and deadline-oriented.
→ Knowledge of iLogic, python, or similar coding is beneficial.
→ Proficient in MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Microsoft TEAMS.
→ Strong manufacturing/engineering background and technical knowledge.
→ Experience in producing Bills of Materials; ERP system knowledge is advantageous.
