We’re working with a growing, ambitious business operating across industrial services, engineering, and specialist support sectors, who are looking to bring in a Financial Accountant at a key stage of their growth.

This is a hands-on role sitting right at the centre of the finance function, supporting senior leadership with accurate reporting, cash flow management, and the overall integrity of the accounts.

What you’ll be doing:
- Preparing management accounts across multiple entities
- Managing cash flow reporting and working capital
- Balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close
- Supporting with group reporting and intercompany processes
- VAT returns, compliance, and audit support
- Working closely with the CFO and wider leadership team

What they’re looking for:
- Part-qualified or qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or QBE
- Strong experience in financial or management accounting
- Confident with cash flow and balance sheet ownership
- Comfortable working across multiple entities
- Solid Excel and systems experience
- Ideally from industrial, construction, or engineering sectors

We’re working with a growing, multi-entity business to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team at an exciting stage of growth.

This is a great opportunity for someone with 2–3 years’ experience who’s looking to build their career in a fast-paced environment and gain exposure across a broad range of finance activities.

What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting purchase & sales ledger across multiple entities
- Bank reconciliations and general ledger postings
- Processing invoices, payments and expenses
- Assisting with month-end and reporting
- Supporting credit control and supplier management

What we’re looking for:
- 2–3 years’ accounts experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Confident with reconciliations and ledger work
- Good Excel skills (Sage or similar is a bonus)
- Someone proactive and keen to learn

There is a lot of focus on data centres at the moment, and there is a good reason for it!

Will AI take my job?

There is a lot of concern at the moment about AI taking jobs, especially as data centres and automation continue to grow. It is a fair question, but the reality looks a bit different.

Yes, AI is changing how systems are run. It is improving monitoring, efficiency, and fault detection. But data centres are still physical environments. They still need people on site to build, maintain, and operate them safely and reliably.

You cannot automate electrical installations, commissioning work, or critical maintenance on live infrastructure.

If anything, AI is increasing demand rather than reducing it. More AI means more data processing, more servers, and more facilities needed to support it.

That leads to more jobs, not fewer, across engineering, project delivery, and critical environment roles.

At Imperial Recruitment Group, we are seeing this first-hand. The sector is growing quickly, and the need for skilled people is only increasing alongside it.
