Chefs & Curry are on the lookout for an experienced KP for a 6-month contract (may be extended) starting mid-Feb in a destination country pub in Syston, LE7.

Need to manage cleaning schedules, oversee basic food prep (requires food safety lv2 and allergen awareness), and maintain cleanliness in dry stores and the kitchen's surrounding area. Live-in position available with reduced rent, a large double room, no bills, and free Wi-Fi. UK work eligibility required; no visa sponsorship provided.

Starting wage £11.44 per hour approx. 35 hours a week till March then up to 50 hours a week and more if wanted. Wage will be reviewed after 4 weeks in the role.

This is a luxury destination renowned for its commitment to excellence and unparalleled guest experiences that takes pride in delivering exceptional service and creating memorable moments for our guests.

The Role:
Responsible for the overall running of the pastry area
Producing and delivering a variety of dishes to a high standard of preparation, production and presentation
Ensuring guests expectations are exceeded through consistent service and product delivery
Supporting the Head Chef in creating a team environment which promotes good morale and ensures a high level of commitment and pride
Aiming to achieve required standards of food service whilst ensuring that profitability targets are met
Providing junior members of the pastry team with support in training and development so that service and product delivery is consistent
Ensuring all statutory regulations are adhered to
Ensuring that all food is stored correctly, stocks rotated and temperature recorded in line with the Health and Safety regulations
Ensuring that exceptional standards of food service are delivered consistently
Ensuring that the pastry operates effectively on a daily basis
Maintaining sufficient level of mise en place for Lunch and Dinner service.
Developing a close working relationship with all F&B staff, promoting team within the department and hotel
Motivating colleagues to achieve high standards of service and performance

Skills/Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 as a minimum
CIEH Level 2
2 years’ experience in a similar role
Ability to demonstrate good food production
Ability to work under the pressure of a busy kitchen
