Pay: £12.71 – £15.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Perm
Working Hours:
* Monday to Thursday: 6:00am – 3:00pm
* Friday: 6:00am – 12:00pm
* 40 hours per week
About the Role
Supreme Recruitment Services Ltd is recruiting for a Workshop Labourer to join an established metal fabrication and engineering business.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has an interest in engineering or metalwork, and would like to develop their skills within a fabrication environment.
Previous welding experience is not essential, but an interest in learning MIG/TIG welding and fabrication would be a real advantage.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting experienced welders and fabricators with day-to-day workshop activities.
* Preparing materials and components for welding and fabrication.
* Using basic hand tools, grinders and workshop equipment where trained and authorised.
* Moving, handling and organising steel and other materials safely.
* Supporting cutting, grinding, cleaning and finishing operations.
* Helping with the assembly and preparation of fabricated components.
* Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop.
* Following health and safety procedures at all times.
* Supporting the wider production team to ensure work is completed efficiently.
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience in a workshop, manufacturing, engineering or labouring environment would be beneficial.
* A genuine interest in metalwork, fabrication or learning MIG/TIG welding.
* Comfortable carrying out physical, hands-on work.
* Reliable, punctual and willing to learn.
* Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
* A practical mindset with good attention to detail.
* Previous experience using hand tools or grinders would be advantageous.
You do not need to be a qualified welder or fabricator to apply. We are particularly interested in candidates who are hardworking, mechanically minded and keen to develop new skills.
