MOT Tester / Fitter
Master Technician
Salary £35000 to £55000 depending on experience, qualifications and actual ability (yes we will notice)
Full time permanent role
Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm
We are looking for two skilled technicians to join a very busy, very well equipped independent garage where the tools are better than most people’s home kitchens.
Our workshop is clean, organised and comfortable, with heating and air conditioning because we believe suffering builds character but not productivity.
You will have access to OE diagnostic equipment for over 30 manufacturers, engine and gearbox build facilities, injection testing, electronics repair area, valeting and detailing building and a parts department with a full time parts manager who actually answers the phone.
Master Technician role
Work alongside an existing Master Tech and the owner in a dedicated diagnostic area
Ability to work alone or as part of problem solving projects
Multi brand experience is a bonus but not essential, curiosity and willingness to learn is essential
MOT Tester and Technician role
Carry out MOT tests correctly and professionally with a clean MOT record
Servicing and mechanical repairs including brakes, clutches, timing belts and general diagnostics
Accurate fault finding and clear documentation
Bring your own basic tools, everything specialist is provided
Take pride in doing the job properly the first time
We are a proper family team, not a dysfunctional one, and we expect good communication, professionalism and a full clean driving licence (minor speeding fines are fine, we are not robots)
22 days holiday plus bank holidays
We also close over Christmas so you are not torqueing bolts while everyone else is eating mince pies
