After more than twenty years in recruitment, with the long nights, the pressure, and the moments where I questioned if the graft was worth it, something unexpected happened.
At this year’s Global Recruiter Awards, I was named Best Permanent Consultant, sponsored by Devyce. We were also shortlisted for Best Client Service, sponsored by Professional Passport.
Even now, it hasn’t quite sunk in.
This is not a solo win. It belongs to the people who made it possible.
Ariana, you keep Renew moving. You’re calm in the centre of the storm and the reason the structure holds, no matter what’s happening.
Vee, Samara, Ayushi - your focus, your energy, and your care for how we work and who we work with never goes unnoticed.
To Claire, Sara, Jordan, Louise and the wider Retrained Search crew -thank you for your honesty, your insight, and your belief in what we’re building. You’ve shaped every part of this.
We also want to thank The Global Recruiter Awards team, especially Gary and John and The Recruitment Network, run by Graham and James, for organising an evening that truly celebrates quality in this industry.
Thank you to the REC for setting the standard and helping create the framework that recognises work like this.
A quiet thank you as well to Ashley Benfield and Alan Blair from P&I Generators, who joined us on the night. It was a pleasure to spend the evening with you.
Congratulations to all the finalists and the winner in the Best Client Service category:
Winner: Kite Consulting
Highly Commended: Talent Locker and Revoco
And to the other finalists in the Best Permanent Consultant category - Connor Spicer, Daniel Thompson, Hannah Clarke, and Jonathan Benjamin, thank you for raising the bar.
This award might have my name on it, but it only exists because of the team behind the scenes.
Everything that happens on the front line is backed by operations, marketing, admin, and resourcing done to the highest standard. That’s what makes this level of service possible.
We’re proud to be recognised for our work in this industry over the last two decades. And we’re focused on what comes next.
