Atkins Search are celebrating Ashleigh’s 2-year work anniversary! 🎉

In just two years, Ash has grown remarkably, becoming a key member of our team. Ashleigh has achieved an instrumental amount, securing two promotions, winning Employee of the Quarter twice and being named our Employee of the Year for 2024 - 2025. She has become an integral part of our Mechanical, Electrical and Construction division, where it’s been fantastic to watch her grow and succeed.

AUGUST MOVE CHALLENGE - FINAL RESULTS! 🎉

What an incredible month it's been! The entire Atkins Search team has been moving for mental health throughout August. We’re proud to share the outstanding results of our efforts… 🥁
🏆 10-Mile Group (Lake District training): Amy Hutchinson with 68 miles
🏆 4-Mile Group (Active participation): Jessica Jones winner with 72 miles

Congratulations to both of our winners, both your efforts have been outstanding, and your vouchers are very well deserved! Every single step has been in support of Tough To Talk and their crucial work in su***de prevention. In the UK, 10 men die by su***de daily and 4 of them work in construction. These horrifying statistics represent lives that could be saved through open conversation and proper support.

Now, we're 2 weeks away from our biggest challenge yet.
Saturday 13th September we'll be tackling Scafell Pike (England's highest mountain at 978m) via the challenging Corridor Route.

August Highlights

August has been another brilliant month at Atkins Search! Between summer holidays, our team has been busy taking on fundraising challenges while continuing to make strong progress in the construction recruitment.

🍻 End of Quarter Team Social
Nicolé organised an epic bar crawl around Nottingham and dinner at Magic Garden to celebrate her winning EoTQ for Q1. The team had an amazing time, playing arcade games and enjoying some brilliant games Nicole organised!

🚶‍♀️ August Move Challenge
Our entire team laced up their trainers for the August Move Challenge! Walking, running and galloping our way to raise vital funds for Tough To Talk. Every move counts in breaking the silence around men's mental health in construction. Stay tuned for the winner announced next week!

🤝 Client Meetings Across our Regions
We've been on the road building relationships! Important client meetings with leading UK and regional businesses based in Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham and Leeds, strengthening our partnerships and opening opportunities for construction professionals.

🧸 Childhood Fuddle
Thanks to Nicolé's brilliant idea, we enjoyed a very nostalgic Childhood fuddle! Everyone brought their favourite childhood meals; from crisp sandwiches, spaghetti hoops, turkey dinosaurs and smiley faces, to jelly and ice cream and sprinkles on biscuits. This was a delicious trip down memory lane!

Celebrating Our Q1 Employee of the Quarter Nicole Broughton! 🍻🎉

To celebrate Nicole’s excellent work last quarter, she took the reins and organised a brilliant team social for everyone at Atkins Search!

Her plan involved a Nottingham pub crawl, but with a Nicole twist! She asked each team member to choose their favourite local bar or pub, then she created fun activities and competitions at every bar that related to Atkins Search.

We played bingo, arcade games, air hockey, took on quizzes and discovered plenty of interesting facts about each other! Halfway through we had a much-needed food stop at Magic Garden in Nottingham before heading out for the next round of bars and activities.

Big congratulations to Ashleigh Curwood, who came out on top in the most challenges of the night!

Nicole's initiative perfectly embodies what we value at Atkins Search: going the extra mile, bringing people together, and creating memorable experiences. Her dedication to both our clients and our team culture is exactly why she earned this recognition.

Atkins Search are delighted to announce Nicole Broughton's promotion to Managing Consultant!

Nicole joined us here at Atkins Search in January 2022 as a Recruitment Consultant specialising in placing Construction professionals into reputable New Build Housing Developers and Construction Main Contractors across the Midlands and Yorkshire. Fast forward to 2025, Nicole now specialises in placing Construction professionals into market leading Consultancies across the Midlands.
Since joining our team, Nicole has made a positive impact across the business, including the enthusiasm she brings each morning to the support she offers to anyone who needs it. She’s a true asset to our team and an absolute pleasure to work with!

Nicole’s comments regarding her recent promotion from Senior Consultant to Managing Consultant –

This August, Atkins Search is stepping up... (literally) to support Tough To Talk and their vital work in su***de prevention and men’s mental health awareness.

Some Tough facts:

🔴 10 men die by su***de every single day in the UK
🔴 4 of those work in construction

These numbers represent sons, dads, friends, colleagues. It should not be this way and that’s why we’re taking on the August Move Challenge with weekly movement to raise awareness and funds for all those lives that can be saved through open conversation.



Some of our team are training for our upcoming Lake District challenge (further details announced soon!), covering 10 miles a week, while others are committing to 4 miles a week, that align with these horrific stats.

🎯 Q1 Wrap-Up & Nic’s Promotion
We came together to wrap up Q1, celebrating everything we did in the first 3 months of the financial year. A special shout-out to Nicolé, promoted to Managing Consultant and honoured as our Employee of the Quarter, so well deserved. We’re so proud of you!

🎆 The Atkins Search Dream
On the 4th of July, our financial year’s theme brought all things American to life as we embraced the Atkins Search Dream. The team dressed up in red, white and blue and enjoyed a themed fuddle celebrating American culture, indulging in donuts, hot dogs and pizza!

🎤 Nottingham Hot Property
Laura, Olivia and Nicolé attended Nottingham Hot Property to raise funds for Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People. The girls had a brilliant night of singing, dancing and a few drinks! The evening raised over £30,000, we’re proud to have played a part in it.

The Atkins Search Dream 🗽



Our theme for this financial year is the “Atkins Search Dream”, derived from The American Dream.​ The Dream suggests that anyone, regardless of background, can achieve success and a better life through hard work and determination.​

Independence Day gave us the perfect excuse to celebrate! The team went all out with some awesome red, white, and blue outfits, alongside some 90’s rodeo themed attire. Y’all enjoyed a spread of classic American cuisine comprising mac ‘n’ cheese, barbeque pulled pork, hot dogs, donuts, peanut butter and jelly (a.k.a. jam) cake pops, the full works! 🤤

After our green fuddle a few weeks back for Mental Health Awareness Week, we've definitely hit both ends of the food spectrum! We weren’t going to pass up on the opportunity for a celebration, and Independence Day felt like the perfect way to a have a hella good laugh. There's something about these themed days that brings us together as a team.

We’re already looking forward to the next one!
