Clinical Education Transfusion Training Facilitator
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic experienced Registered Healthcare Professional to join our Transfusion Team. This is a permanent position and is well suited to someone that has excellent communication and clinical skills, who is interested in developing their knowledge and expertise in the speciality field of transfusion.
This post will commence at Band 5, but provide the development opportunity for an individual to demonstrate their potential to achieve competencies and learning to fulfil the Band 6 role, or, for an individual who already meets all the person specifications, to commence at Band 6.
The Transfusion Team work to ensure our patients receive safe and appropriate transfusions by providing education and training opportunities, specialist transfusion clinical support and advice for our clinical teams.
We are part of the Education Team, but are based in Pathology, working alongside our UHDB Blood Bank colleagues. The role will support the Patient Blood Management Lead in the development, implementation and provision of training and competency assessment for all staff involved in the transfusion process.
