May has been another mega month for NuStaff and the wider Vester Group.

A huge highlight was seeing Dave pick up the award for Wales Director of the Year Awards 2026 (Small Business), one of the most respected leadership accolades presented by the Institute of Directors. A fantastic achievement and a reflection of the vision, leadership and culture being built across the Group.

We also celebrated a major milestone as Vester Group expanded its people solutions offering through the acquisition of Thrive HRM. Bringing together the expertise of Executive HR and Thrive HRM strengthens our ability to deliver integrated, commercially focused people solutions for businesses across South Wales and beyond.

Alongside this, we officially launched Lexbridge, a specialist legal recruitment and talent advisory business led by Nigel Goldsworthy, further strengthening the Group’s specialist offering.

Meanwhile, the NuStaff team has continued doing what we do best, supporting clients through one of the busiest periods of the year by connecting them with reliable temporary talent ready to make an impact from day one.

From client meetings and networking events to industry conferences and new partnerships, it’s been fantastic to continue growing our connections across multiple sectors.

Based in Newport, this amazing charity multi is dedicated to helping seriously ill children and their families by making their unforgettable dreams and wishes come true.

This time the families headed to West Midlands Safari Park and it looks like they had a fantastic day.

Last week, our Managing Director Dave Matthews was named winner of the Wales Director of the Year Awards 2026 (Small Business), one of the most respected leadership accolades presented by the Institute of Directors (IoD Wales).

The award follows a transformational period for NuStaff under his leadership following a successful management buyout in 2024. Since then, the business has experienced significant growth, alongside the launch of the Vester Group and the expansion of specialist recruitment and HR advisory services across the wider group structure.

We are incredibly proud of Dave and everything he's achieved. In Dave's words: "This is just the beginning."
