Here is a little update in regards to the Reconnect Programme that we are delivering.
The programme is designed for people who are economically inactive, whether they are in education, unemployed or self-employed but struggling to make their business work financially.
This work is closely connected to BrightSky's vision and mission and we are so excited with how things are developing.
We have attracted our 25 participants who have attended one of our in-person workshops, our online workshops and 1:1 mentoring sessions.

Not everyone who has applied has been eligible due to this project being only accessible for people who live in Devon. We are exploring how we can meet those who have not been eligible by bringing back our Grow Your Gifts program.
The ‘Innovation for Youth and Community’ Employability Grants Devon scheme is led by Petroc, working with BrightSky as a Grant Recipient. It is funded by the UK Government through the UK Community Renewal Fund, which is managed within Devon by Devon County Council.
The UK Community Renewal Fund is a UK Government programme for 2021/22. This aims to support people and communities most in need across the UK, to pilot programmes and new approaches to build community resilience and prepare for the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. It invests in skills, community and place, local business, and supporting people into employment.

This project will help us to develop BrightSky’s services further and we would like to give a big thank you to Petroc Official for working with us on this.
We are learning so much and looking forward to how we can integrate those learnings into future projects.
